Short history: <\/span><\/strong>In 2012 we started to visit Montessori courses with our 1,5 years old son. We liked them a lot and we wanted to keep similar environment also at home. But for that you need quite special chair and table for toddler\/infant. Specialised wooden chair and table were too expensive and we were looking for an alternative. It did not existed and therefore I designed and produced a first version of the <\/span>nufka <\/span>set.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today: <\/span><\/strong>Development is fnished. Both chair and table are very robust. All sides are in double
\ncardboard layers. The most stressed surfaces (seat and table top desk) are 4 layers thick. Both chair and table can be produced by cardboard stamping with a high efciency at low costs of material and tools (cardboard sheets of 2x2m are needed).
\nMaterial and production cost estimation is quite low, when mass production is taken
\ninto account (not including tool costs for thousands of stamps-pieces).<\/span><\/p>\n

Material: <\/span><\/strong>only 5-layer high quality cardboard BC3431BB. No metal neither plastic clips \/ staplers used, neither glue. Only smart cardboard folding. 100% recycleble. Surprisingly water resistant.
\n<\/span>Chair: <\/span><\/strong>seat height 16cm, back rest height 40cm, sides height 30cm. Seat itself 30x30cm. 1,7 kg
\n<\/span>Table: <\/span><\/strong>Width 42cm, height 40cm, working place 42x38cm. 2,3 kg
\nCan be sent in ready to use state in box size of about 45x45x45cm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Proposal: <\/span><\/strong>Wooden chair\/table sets are nice and respects all aspects of Montessori approach. But in not so wealthy or developing countries there are thousands of parents who simply can not a\ufb00ord to buy such an expensive sets, eventhough they would like to. This cardboard design can step into this market with a product, that does the job and thanks to its price opens new markets.
\nIt can also serve as a \u201esecond\u201c set, which may be placed e.g. by grand-parents or weekend houses if you simply do not want to move the wooden set from your home … but your kid would love to.
\nI believe this chair \/ table set <\/span>nufka <\/span>has a big potential for many parents around the World. It can help to a large number of kids to be more independant.
